Introduction

MicroJob is committed to maintaining a safe, fair, and professional environment for all users. This Prohibited Activities Policy outlines behaviors and actions that are not permitted on our platform. Violation of these policies may result in warnings, account suspension, permanent bans, or legal action.

By using MicroJob, you agree to abide by these rules and report any violations you encounter.

Fraudulent Activities

The following fraudulent activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Identity Fraud: Using fake identities, stolen documents, or impersonating other individuals
  • Payment Fraud: Using stolen payment methods, chargebacks for legitimate transactions, or payment manipulation
  • Click Fraud: Artificially inflating engagement metrics, clicks, or views through automated or coordinated means
  • Phishing: Attempting to obtain user credentials, payment information, or personal data through deceptive means
  • Money Laundering: Using the platform to move or disguise proceeds from illegal activities
  • Pyramid/Ponzi Schemes: Promoting or operating multi-level marketing schemes or fraudulent investment opportunities

Account Violations

The following account-related activities are prohibited:

  • Multiple Accounts: Creating or operating more than one account without explicit permission
  • Account Sharing: Sharing account credentials with others or allowing others to use your account
  • Account Trading: Buying, selling, or transferring accounts to other individuals
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another user, MicroJob staff, or any other person or entity
  • False Information: Providing inaccurate information in your profile, skills, or work history
  • Verification Bypass: Attempting to circumvent identity verification requirements

For Freelancers

  • Fake Submissions: Submitting fabricated, copied, or low-quality work that does not meet job requirements
  • Plagiarism: Submitting work that is copied from other sources without permission
  • Automation Abuse: Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to complete jobs unless explicitly permitted
  • Job Hoarding: Claiming multiple jobs without the intention or ability to complete them
  • Deadline Manipulation: Intentionally missing deadlines to delay employer reviews
  • Review Manipulation: Offering incentives for positive reviews or threatening negative reviews

For Employers

  • Fake Jobs: Posting jobs with no intention of paying or with misleading requirements
  • Payment Avoidance: Repeatedly rejecting valid work to avoid payment
  • Unfair Rejection: Rejecting work that meets stated requirements without valid reason
  • Data Harvesting: Using jobs to collect personal information, contact details, or work samples without payment
  • Wage Theft: Requesting work outside the platform to avoid fees or protections
  • Discriminatory Practices: Rejecting workers based on protected characteristics unrelated to job requirements

Content Violations

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on MicroJob:

  • Illegal Content: Any content that violates Bangladesh laws or international law
  • Adult Content: Pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene material
  • Violent Content: Graphic violence, gore, or content promoting violence
  • Hate Speech: Content targeting individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Harassment: Bullying, intimidation, threats, or targeted harassment of other users
  • Defamation: False statements that damage the reputation of individuals or organizations
  • Spam: Unsolicited promotional content, repetitive messages, or irrelevant communications
  • Malware: Distributing viruses, malicious software, or harmful code

Illegal Activities

MicroJob cannot be used to facilitate any illegal activities, including but not limited to:

  • Drug trafficking or promotion of controlled substances
  • Weapons trafficking or promotion of illegal weapons
  • Human trafficking or exploitation
  • Terrorism or extremist activities
  • Copyright infringement or intellectual property theft
  • Hacking, unauthorized access, or cybercrime
  • Tax evasion or financial crimes
  • Any activity prohibited by Bangladesh law

Communication Violations

Users must maintain professional and respectful communication:

  • Off-Platform Transactions: Soliciting or conducting transactions outside MicroJob to avoid fees or protections
  • Contact Sharing: Sharing personal contact information before job completion to bypass platform communication
  • Abusive Language: Using profanity, insults, or aggressive language toward other users
  • Threats: Making threats of any kind, including legal threats used for intimidation
  • Solicitation: Promoting external services, websites, or products unrelated to the job

System Abuse

Abuse of MicroJob's systems and features is prohibited:

  • Exploiting Bugs: Taking advantage of platform bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them
  • Automated Access: Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the platform without permission
  • Rate Limit Evasion: Circumventing rate limits or access restrictions
  • False Reports: Filing false or malicious reports against other users
  • Review Manipulation: Creating fake reviews, buying reviews, or manipulating the rating system
  • Referral Abuse: Gaming the referral system through fake accounts or self-referrals

Consequences of Violations

Violations of this policy may result in the following actions, depending on severity:

  • Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a formal warning
  • Content Removal: Violating content, jobs, or submissions will be removed
  • Temporary Suspension: Account access may be temporarily suspended for investigation
  • Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent account termination
  • Fund Forfeiture: Funds in accounts terminated for violations may be forfeited
  • Legal Action: MicroJob reserves the right to pursue legal action for serious violations
  • Law Enforcement Referral: Criminal activities will be reported to appropriate authorities

Reporting Violations

If you encounter any prohibited activities on MicroJob, please report them immediately:

  • Use the "Report" button on user profiles, jobs, or messages
  • Contact our compliance team at compliance@microjob.com
  • Provide as much detail and evidence as possible

Reports are reviewed confidentially, and reporters are protected from retaliation. We may not be able to share the outcome of investigations due to privacy considerations.

Appeals Process

If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error:

  • Contact our support team within 30 days of the action
  • Provide any evidence or context that may support your case
  • Our team will review your appeal and respond within 7 business days
  • Decisions on appeals are final

Governing Law

This Prohibited Activities Policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Dhaka. MicroJob cooperates with law enforcement agencies when required by law.

Policy Updates

MicroJob reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
